The client appointed us to the role seven weeks prior to the opening of this brand new scheme in September 2007.

Whilst the timing of the appointment might not have been ideal, it meant that we had to very quickly get under the skin of the development and understand how the building was designed to operate and how the service charge and the staffing structure had been formulated. We had to achieve this all during the same period as the tenants were fitting-out and the landlord’s development works were being completed prior to opening. Following an intense and concentrated introduction to the site, during which time we actively helped to provide solutions to a number of design-based problems, the Centre opened on time. All of the central building systems were successfully commissioned and operational and the Centre received the approval of the fire and building control officers literally minutes before the opening.

Our role since this frenetic pre-opening period has continued to evolve with remaining units becoming let and trading and further improvements being made to the service charge regime and supply of services to tenants.

Our ability to take on such a complex and demanding instruction such a short period before opening is only possible due to the experience and ability of key individuals to apply an extensive build-up of knowledge to a set of demanding circumstances.
